What does BrainYears™ measure?

Modified on Wed, 22 Apr at 7:30 PM

The BrainYears™ report breaks down cognitive performance across four independent domains:

  • Information Processing — how quickly and accurately your brain perceives and categorizes new information
  • Attention — sustained focus, task switching, distraction filtering
  • Self-Regulation — impulse control, error monitoring, executive function
  • Performance Output — overall balance of speed and accuracy

Each domain produces a percentile score benchmarked against age-matched norms, with 4 to 5 detailed metrics. Each metric includes a short descriptive block explaining what it measures, what it means when it falls outside the normal range, what might be causing that, and how it shows up in daily life. The report also includes research-based personalized recommendations covering exercise, sleep, neuromodulation, stress, and nutrition.
